Who We Are

At Gray Matters Coalition, we have made the decision to reinvent ourselves.  The site–and the coalition itself–was first envisioned as a way to bring up important issues and attempt to build a common voice with which we could all be heard.  We still believe in that.  This part of our mission won’t be going away.

But we’ve been listening to you.  We’ve been paying attention to the world.  We’ve been reading what the experts are saying.  This is an exciting time to be alive.

We have come to realize that there are many of you who are hungry for more than just being heard and treated fairly.  Sure, you want to be heard.  But you also want to understand what life’s all about.  You want answers to questions like, “What’s next?” and “Is that all there is?”

We don’t profess to have all the answers, but we hope to have some of them.  And we hope to build a platform on which we can all learn as we go so that the answers begin to form and meaning begins to come clear.

So what are we going to do?

For starters, we’re keeping the Blog going.

We hope to bring you articles on topics that are important to you: Insight into how to reinvent yourself, how to continue to make a difference in the world, how to express yourself, how to maintain a positive outlook on life, where to go for help, how to deal with the fact that as a society, and as individuals living in a remarkable age of science and technology, we’re going to live longer.

Again, we don’t have all the answers.  We’re quite sure that we don’t even know what all the questions are.

But that’s where the “Coalition” continues to be relevant in the “Gray Matters Coalition” equation.

We want to hear from you.  What questions are burning in your mind?  What keeps you up at night?  What frightens you?  What calms you?  What gives you hope?  If you have questions, send them to us.  We might not have the answers, but we have a growing body of people we know to ask.

And if you have an area you’d like to write about, let us know.  We’d love to feature good, positive thoughts and ideas.

We invite you all on the path to rediscovery.
